# About this preview {#about-this-preview}


This is an unofficial preview of the AzuraCast documentation, rebuilt with [Sourcey](https://sourcey.com), an open-source docs engine licensed under AGPL-3.0. It is not run by the AzuraCast project. Search engines are asked not to index it, and it comes down on request, or after 30 days.


## What it is built from {#what-it-is-built-from}


- The website repository, [AzuraCast/azuracast.com](https://github.com/AzuraCast/azuracast.com) at `c7c1bc6`, converted with `sourcey migrate`: all 52 documentation pages at their current addresses, with every heading link still landing, and the station guide as its own Guides section.
- The [API reference](https://sourcey-azuracast.pages.dev/docs/api/index.md) from the `openapi.yml` in the AzuraCast repository, with a page for each of its 269 operations. The documentation's links to `/api` land on the operation they mean.
- One correction, applied as an overlay rather than to the specification: the station queue responses refer to `App\Entity\StationQueue`, a schema the specification never defines.


## Measured beside the current site {#measured-beside-the-current-site}


Both sites were built from their own sources and served side by side on one machine, compressed as hosts serve them. Each page was opened in a fresh browser at 1440 by 1000 pixels and measured once the network settled, on 21 October 2026 with Sourcey 3.8.3.

The API reference's overview downloads 53.4 KB in 6 requests and its heaviest operation page 51.1 KB, each first painting within 0.35 s. As one page the reference came to 24 MB of HTML, so each operation has a page of its own: plain HTML that search engines and assistants can read and anyone can link to.

The preview builds in 6.6 s from cold, peaking at 1.38 GB of memory, and in 5.3 s with its cache. It writes 72.7 MB, of which 43.5 MB is what readers load (the current site writes 27 MB, 7.2 MB of it for readers); both publish the project's 19.5 MB press kit and promotional audio.
